Askeviks with launching ramp, sheltered harbor, dining and cabins is probably the absolute best starting point for trolling in eastern Vänern.
From ice dissolution until the ice settles or Christmas varnishes for the door, you can launch and quickly get out to the best salmon waters in Lake Vänern. When you come back you can warm yourself in the sauna or have a beer in the restaurant and take some beautiful conversations.
ANGLING REGULATIONS IN LAKE VÄNERN
Both Swedish and foreign citizens are welcome to fish with rods in Lake Vänern. You can jig or angle – or spin, reel or fly fish. Such fishing is unrestricted in Lake Vänern with the exception of certain bird and fish protection areas.

The fishing is based on different destinations on lakes in Central Sweden and the trips are adapted to which species are legal during that period. We fish for pikeperch, char, trout and salmon. Pike and other species can be caught as a bonus at certain times of the year.
Of course, the current sport fishing rules and the golden rule are followed that fish that do not intend to be kept as food are released. This is to make fishing sustainable for future generations as well.
All necessary safety equipment is on board and the captain is trained by the board for boating, with the authority Ship Officer Class VIII, and also has competence for CPR. The boat also has VHF equipment for communication outside mobile coverage.
